Movie Trailer & Review : MoneyBall

Bennett Miller is back. Having successfully led Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote, Oscar nominated director of 2005 was again played a hand in working on a biopik cold. No longer on the criminal world and journalism, Miller is now trying to bring the hustle and bustle of the world baseball in Moneyball.

The story of this film itself focuses on the life of a baseball team manager, Billy Beane (Brad Pitt). Bad luck because his team was hit Beane, Athletics Oackland eliminated from the 2001 seizure of the championship ladder.



Various attempts were made to make the team rose to the extent that proxies Beane willing to go into debt to buy star players to boost team performance. In the midst of struggle, the fortuitous meeting with Peter Brand (Jonah Hill), economics graduate who was still working on rival teams, Beane's eyes will open a new way to recruit players. A new way of using an approach that has never used any other team, statistics. Needless to star players, as long as a good statistical data, the player is worthy recruits.

Duet Beane and Brand finally started to overhaul the management system Oackland Athletics from the existing grip. This makes the seniors on the team, including head coach, Art Howe (Philip Seymour Hoffman) sanctions. Beane himself desperate to use a revolutionary system that has not proven successful, making do with the head coach of the stretch.

The struggle to win the team championship was also not as easy as the data on paper. Oackland still stumbled at the start of the season.
